The cries and the high’s coming out of some shitty room in a shitty part of the city. Four guys washed over and out with jobs created to sap every last hope and dream they ever had out of their hearts, this is the sound we were forced to make. Urban animals fighting to survive in a society where everyone wants to be the hunter. What other things can be said that haven’t been heard before, this music is pure and honest rock n roll that has a message if you want to find one. Sometimes we have to pull ourselves together and fight for what we want and believe in, for the exact reason we started making music in the first place. This passion is being echoed amongst more and more of us, enough is enough. In The Black are a gang for the downturn in this modern society to listen up to, change is coming.

'Their songs are ridiculously catchy & they look the part too. With a growling musical mania like this, surely stardom beckons'?
(Subba-Cultcha.com, Iota EP review)
'Four big, buxom rock tracks that positively fly from the speakers to crash and bang around the room with no respect for ones sanity or decor. A great introduction to a damn good band!'
(Toxic Pete.com, Iota EP review)
'Recommended, Plenty of tunes are to be had from In The Black as they rip out some chunky bass lines to accompany their riot filled, impressive three chord exploits'
(Manchester Music, Iota EP review)
'If Nirvana had degrunged and taken on a more skinny tie rock n roll approach, this is what they would have sounded like...'
(Bugbear Promotions)
'An abrasive yet riff and hook laden fourteen and a half minutes. This is an excellent debut offering and well worth checking out'

'They feel fresh with a vibrancy of passion. Catchy and inviting the Iota EP is more than worth a listen; it’s worth getting into.'

'Four very accomplished slices of musical cake. 'If I Told You' is an absolute gem.'

'the fuckers know how to kick out the jams. Iota’s got four tracks of varying length, style, and ferocity, ranging from the full-bore slash n’ burn of Blindman to the desperate stoner-punk of the title track.'

Hey there, thanks for the request. I think you done well by classifying yourselves as honest rock. I like the fast, energetic sounds coupled with the rough voice. Have a good weekend :) Janine X
My debut novel, The Cuckoo Parchment and the Dyke, has just launched. If you get a chance I'd be grateful if you'd go to my profile to find out more. The story's about Dada, art and artists, and the attempt to instigate revolution by means of art.
