IN THE LONG RUN is a four piece, youthful, energetic rock band hailing from Surrey, UK. Formed in late 2007, their aim is to create hard hitting tracks that you just can't get out of your head!
Their EP These Years is clever, unique and sounds fuller than Don Kings head of hair! Diego Albano [vocals], Tom Eales [guitar] and Matt Smith [bass] worked with producer Jason Wilcock of Stakeout Studios (You Me At Six, Fightstar, Reuben) to help create and solidify the groups unique sound.
October 2009 saw the band draft in a new recruit in the form of Liam Bashford [drums] after Dan left to pursue other things.
With a newly polished arsenal of tracks, 2010 will see In The Long Run take another plunge into the UK gig scene. So if you see a show posted near you, come on by!

Saturday 25th October 2009 New drummer! New stuff coming soon! So you may have heard that we're on the hunt for a new drummer! Well we've found what we're looking for in the form of.. well we'll tell you when we're ready. But he's a don! and he's a sick drummer and ticks all the boxes. You'll love him ;).. We'll post a snippet of a new song in the coming weeks, but we're gonna come at you for sure in January with a whole host of new stuff including songs, photos, merch and a snazzy new layout for you to have a look at! Hey Hey As many of you already know Dan recently anounced that he is parting ways with itlr, he is still drumming and studying at a music academy and we wish him all the best. We are calling out to london's uk drummers to come down to an audtion which we are now holding to fit the place of a drummer for itlr, anyone is welcome, we do ask that candidates: own high tech equipment, can advance to a level similar to our previous drummer, has to have love and passion for our sound as we are currently working on new tracks, has to be 110% commited to itlr. so here is what you need to do: please e-mail us at inthelongrunuk@googlemail.com with all the relevant details drumming experience, touring experience, distance from south london (Croydon) and if you have any samples of previous work/bands please send them to this adress and a member of itlr will get back to you :) Finally itlr have been hiding out the past few months after just recently finishing a uk tour with italian pioneers the electric diorama, we have taken time off to write and record brand new tracks for you guys, please stay tuned becaue itlr is looking forward to rocking your worlds very soon! xxxxxxx Sunday 22nd March 2009 Tour, Free EP and other stuff! Hey everyone! We haven't updated this since January now, so we thought it was about time we spoke to you boys and girls about what's going on in the ITLR camp! Well! From the 20th of April through till the 28th of April, we will be on the road around the UK with our Italian buddies 'The Electric Diorama' (in our top friends)! We've got 85% of the dates booked now, so not a lot will change. If we're heading to a town near you, it would mean the world if you could make it down! There'll be opportunities to buy our EP for cheaper than you can get it online, and free badges and stickers and stuff! As some of you may be aware, we've been selected to be part of a fairly big competition which only 100 bands were chosen to take part in. To be in with a chance of winning, we need to be in the top ten voted bands on www.bandbacker.com. We're currently 9th, but only by a single vote! So we'd like some help getting us securely up there in.. 6th place or so!? If you take the time to vote for us, please also take the time to come back on the MySpace and mark our blog with a big old 'I VOTED FOR YOU'. This way you'll be entered into a random draw for ten people to be getting a FREE EP in the post! "ooooh!" i hear you say. So yeah! Please, please help us out! Hope you all had a fabulous New Years and enjoyed yourselves responsibly! So our new track has had over 10k plays in under a month. That's crazy. Thank you all so much for taking the time to pop over and give us a shot! We're in the process of booking a tour for late April! We plan to hit the major cities up as far north as Manchester.
