In The Mix Quartet is the 2008 Sweet Adeline’s Region 9 CHAMPIONS!! WOW!!!!!! The quartet is comprised of: Gina Ogden – Tenor (former tenor of Showtime, 1994 International Champions); Carter Maysilles – Lead (lead of Legacy); Lana Owens – Baritone; and Betty Luckett Meinholz – Bass (baritone of Bron’s Tones, 1971 International Champions). Three are active members in the Toast of Tampa Show Chorus.
In our real lives (you know - that stuff we do all day to make money so we can do the important things in our lives like singing barbershop) - Gina is a 4th grade teacher, Carter does web design and sings professionally at Disney World, Lana is a teacher's aide for grades K-3, and Betty - the lucky one in the quartet - is retired.
Interesting tidbits about the quartet: We've been singing together for about five years - but Gina and Carter don't have ANY memory of the first few years.....; we love our doggies - you can keep the cats; and our favorite song is "If I'd Killed You When I Wanted To - I'd Be Out By Now".
Special shout out to our AWESOME coaches: Randy Loos, Gina Anton, and Debbie Connelly. And a very special thank you to Magic of Manatee Chorus and Toast of Tampa Show Chorus.
In The Mix is ready to sing for parties or shows at the drop of a hat in the Bradenton/ Orlando/ Tampa Bay area. For bookings email Betty at bredbari@aol.com. Thanks for stopping by and keep smiling!

(she hasn't gotten the last 3 i sent her, but i was in a place that i couldn't call from) i thought of ya'll and sent prayers your way during your send off night. i wanted sooo badly to be there! i'll be thinking of you as this week comes to an end....wish i could be there to hear you and see you once again with blue around your necks and a huge champagne goblet in your hands! lol love ya'll much.
Thanks for sharing your time and talents with the Sound of Sunshine today! We had a great time with you and will be cheering for you in May! Thanks again!!!
Great job last night, girls! i'm so proud of ya'll....can't wait to hear you on that regional stage!!! and then as elizabeth says "onerds and uperds"!!! woooohoooo
Thanks for the comment. I enjoyed your set as well. Remember...take lots of time off before contest...no need to rehearse...use that "Think system" and you'll be fine.
woohoooo...SCORE! a million quartets lookin for leads just heard the door slam! ha! i'm sooo excited for ya'll and can't wait to her you! i'll see you on the 2nd. (i get hooked into "acting" in that particular show periodically)
i HATE that i missed the semi-finals....simply because i'm a dang moron. i'm so sorry! but~i WAS thinking of you cause i called right after ya'll were done. (to tell you good luck and send my love! ha!) i know that it didn't go as hoped for, but i gotta tell ya that i'm SOOO proud of you! just making it to that international arena is quite a feat and not for the faint of heart. you stood on that stage and joined your spirits and your greatness with the greatness that has walked before you, with you and withIN you! how wonderful and thrilling! i'm very, very proud of you! sending my heart and love to you!
