Formed in Tallahassee in '04, and running through late '07, In the Wake of's style came from a mix of influence and environment, melding old school NYHC, 90's SoCal punkrock, and the Southeast US sound everyone's come to associate with Gainesville. With three core members, Nate, Paul, and Mike, and a few bassists, notibly Mike Bass, Kia (of Convicted), Charlie Codfish, and Kevin McCauly, we played a countless number of fun and memorable shows. We recorded two ep's with Gainesville hero Rob McGregor (although the last one is currently still in rough form), and had the opportunity to share the stage with both friends, and bands we love, like Against Me!, the Circle Jerks, Agent Orange, Exene Cervenka, Smoke or Fire, the Independents, Gang Green, The Toasters, Born to Lose, LedAstray, Rehasher, The Dollyrots, The Tri-Fives, Hopesick, Call for Fire, the Delegates, Westbound Train, Gainseville Liberation Orchestra, and so many more. Thanks to everyone that came to shows or listened to us over the years. It was a great run.
