Set up in the year 2000, Into the Dust was until then
the bassist Sandro Santos parallel project together with the guitarist Betto
Nossat, from the extinguished band Grothesc. The group brings as its major
influence the timeless Black Sabbaths sound and a more cadenced Metal from the
80s, which gives a heavier sound, simple and direct, going in a different
direction from what was proposed by the previous band, which used to go down a
path between the Trash and Death Metal After a few changes in its formation the
group became a trio, which helped to compose more sophisticated themes, now with
Betto Nossat also taking over the guitars. Nowadays, the Into the Dust is
composed of Sandro Santos bass, Betto Nossat vocals & guitar and Humberto Medeiros drums. The band is finalizing the mixing of
its new album March of Believers, due in the first semester of 2007, with 8
brand new songs that represent the bands current phase: a melodic and heavy
Stoner Metal.

Grupo criado em 1996, o Into the Dust era até então, um projeto paralelo de
Sandro Santos e Betto Nossat, baixista e guitarrista respectivamente da banda
Grothesc. Com o final da banda no ano de 2000, o ITD passou a ser prioridade. O
grupo traz como maior influência o som atemporal do Black Sabbath e o Metal
mais cadenciado dos anos oitenta, apostando assim numa sonoridade mais pesada,
simples e direta. Após algumas mudanças em sua formação, o grupo que já foi
um quinteto, transformou-se num trio, facilitando a composição de temas mais
elaborados, tendo Betto Nossat definitivamente assumindo também as guitarras.
Atualmente o Into the Dust conta com Sandro Santos baixo / Betto Nossat
vocal/guitarra e Humberto Medeiros bateria, que retorna a banda após alguns anos afastado. A banda está finalizando a
mixagem de seu novo CD, March of Believers, com previsão de lançá-lo ainda no
primeiro semestre de 2007, com 08 músicas inéditas que representam a atual
fase da banda, um Stoner Metal com bastante peso e melodia.
Continuamos a trabalhar na IX Feira Internacional do Fanzine, e criámos a ”cara” do nosso evento....

Eu tô meio parado desde que sai do Macakongs em 2003, mas esse ano já tô esquematizando de tocar uns Metals por ai!
