Introspect Records was established in January 2007 as an independent record label with a mission to promote and distribute unique and talented artists. We encourage each artist to be an individual and to look deep within for the strength to make their dreams a reality. Each artist on our label brings forth his or her own unique sound and has a diverse fan base.
We work hard to identify, produce, promote and obtain distribution for passionate artists that have a love for music. Creative freedom is imperative. Our ultimate goal is to facilitate the careers of independent artists by allowing them to make money doing what they love and to get the recognition that they deserve.
In June 2007, Access Immortal released his long awaited album, "American Me". People are still buzzing about Access' debut album "Shades of Reality"! "American Me" includes features from SKYZOO, POISON PEN, REEF THE LOST CAUZE, L.I.F.E. LONG & MORE!! "American Me" is available on i-tunes, www.ughh.com, www.cdbaby.com and other digital download sites. Also, it is available at Fat Beats in New York and L.A.
In December 2007, Introspect Records signed a New Jersey based Hip-Hop group, St. Joe Louis. Their debut album, "The Late Arrival" is scheduled to be released on Introspect Records in the summer of 2008 if all goes as planned. In the meantime, St. Joe Louis will be releasing a mix tape entitled, "The Layover" sometime in the Spring of 2008.
In January 2008, Medinah Starr released her debut album, "Beyond Reazon". This debut album is very introspective and Medinah Starr focuses on her life growing up in the hood, her love for music, the injustice in society and various other topics. Her single "Perseverance" takes you back to that boom - bap rap, while other songs are more soulful and organic! Also, in Philadelphia it is available in Sounds of Upper Darby, Phenomenal Records and City Sounds.
