What is the Introspect Void Collective?
Well it gets a little complex. First it was a band, then a house, then a collective of friends, artists, programmers and space mutants, then a couple of more houses, then a small lump of purple proteins, then back to being a band and now all of the above (or an intergalactic detective agency bent on the over through of all things that eat Vienna Sausages - or maybe not).
The band started out as the head of the snake but was soon swallowed and now resides somewhere near the badly damaged liver as a fully functional industrial music making tumor.
Influences
I.V. trace their musical roots back to a host of sources, but bands like The Dead Kennedy's, Godflesh, Skinny Puppy, Circle Jerks, Slayer, The Sisters of Mercy, Fields Of The Nephilim, and Front Line Assembly make the list, just to name a few.
I.V. is a collective of artists, musicians and 2600 types that work together to make unique audio landscapes. The music tells an abstract story while merging the feeling of Dali, Giger and Broms imagery among others into a potentially hallucinogenic experience. Aggressive at times and sublime in others Introspect Void fluctuates within an industrial, dark and cryptic archetype. The lyrical element expresses IVs obsession with dark potential futures and inner turmoil. The I.V. members while pretentious with the conception of their music and pedantic with its description do not take themselves very seriously and practice tantric sarcasm.
