Invasion was formed in early 2006 by guitarists Joe Mazzitelli and Riley Miller, and if you haven't heard them yet, you haven't been within 500 feet of a gig. Mixing the apocalyptic volume dynamics of bands like Mogwai and My Bloody Valentine with the blips, screeches, and roars of Autolux and Sonic Youth and the mind bending math of Tera Melos and Cinemechanica gives Invasion a sound unfamiliar to much of the post rock scene. When it comes to live shows, expect amps piled to the ceiling and an onstage energy not unlike that of a wired thrash band. Invasion added JD Reeves on drums in June of '06 and have been playing with him since.
