In the main, iAlan has come out of long evenings (accompanied by the local brew) in uneventful hotels spent in cities from Sarajevo to Tbilisi to Ulan Baatar. Sounds romantic huh.....well some of it is and lots of it isn't :)
Also, the sphere of Mr. iA sits along side a very different musical project of mine: Villa R
Thought nobody would notice, but some of the songs have recently been played on the Tom Robinson show on 6 music:
My mix tapes - I have inflicted my mix tapes/cds on my friends in hard copy format for ages. Then I had a tech epiphany and found I could put them up here. Enjoy.
Sziasztok! Felkerült két új dalunk a lejátszóba, amelyben először hallható új énekesnőnk, Napsugár. Ha van egy kis időtök, hallgassatok bele! Minden jót!
Magic Moments in Berlin
The 5th German Beatbox Battle was a great success for the whole german beatboxing movement. More than 700 guests vistited the official championship event last saturday night at the Kalkscheune in Berlin, Mitte. This event was the big final contest for all 20 qualified beatboxing artists of the Beatbox Battle Club Tour 2007. The judges on stage were formed out of the professional artists Scratch (USA), Zeero (GER), Steff la Cheffe (CH), Jahdeck (PL) and DJ Mesia (GER). The host of the night was the event founder Bee Low from Berlin (GER).
His company Beatbox Battle Networks invited the Polish Beatbox Crew Al Fatnujah and the Swiss Beatbox Queen Steff la Cheffe to become a part of the show on stage. The highlight of the musicality line up was defenitely Scratch from Philly. When he entered the stage with his Loopmachine the German crowd went crazy. He showcased an awesome set of vocal scratchin and drum sounds. Scratch is a real pioneer in the vocal percussion scene. Maximum Respect to all involved artists.

hey thanks for the add. its amazin how similar you get into music production as I. Still my favourite band are Sonic Youth and its huge Background. Extended my interests in any kind of experimental stuff plus beat stuff. found warp records and of course boards of canada which became a huge influence too. and now I am sitting on myspace and writing this...
I hope you like my stuff as much as I like yours, please let me know I would really appreciate that.
speak to you soon,
Catsleeph
i like lisbon. i went to the slightly less exotic smithfield to see the Sick & Indigent Song Club. then went to a horrible crazy party where everyone seemed to be on ketamine! :(
look forward to getting my paws on the album. will you be playing in dublin?
