From the sepia tones of old school blues, soul & motown, to the nostalgia of supergroups of the sixties and seventies and a mixed bag of current artists, INVISIBLE FRIEND don't pack light on influences...

With an honest & witty melodic charm, raw grooves & arrangements, and hard hitting vocals, the INVISIBLE FRIEND sound is diverse. The band have been likened to a wide range of styles and artists from The Beatles, Supertramp and Split Enz, to the blues and funk stylings of Eric Clapton, P Funk and Sly & The Family Stone. Tell us what you think...

INVISIBLE FRIEND - a unique Australian sound is being felt...
This crew's distinct music has recruited fans worldwide with their hard hitting melodies, addictive hooks and riffs, solid grooves, and soulful signature vocals.
INVISIBLE FRIEND have hit the stage for countless Hotel, Club, Festival, Corporate, Live & Recorded engagements over the last decade. Their hypnotic songs have led them from their regional Australian roots to Europe and the United Kingdom, and back again.
Their latest hypnotic album 'MYSTERIOUS MAPS' was completed in their SUNROOM Recording Studio in the hills of Byron Bay in 2007, and the band have since invigorated the Aussie music scene with mesmerising live performances of their hard hitting material, culminating in an East Coast Australian tour across 12 cities in 4 states, for 20 shows in 1 month - taking their sound to all major cities and a host of regional centres.
2009 sees another studio accomplishment on the way with further touring to follow. A new album is in the works for release later this year, as the boys retreat into the studio with engineer Steve Law, to put the finishing touches on more tasty sounds from the SUNROOM...
The crew have been humbled with a handful of acknowledgements including the NORTH COAST ENTERTAINMENT INDUSTRY ALLIANCE AWARDS for BEST MALE VOCALS, BEST FUNK SONG and BEST ALBUM PRODUCTION categories - with MYSTERIOUS MAPS nominated for Album of The year in 2008. Along with a MUSICOZ DEVELOPMENT Award, and a MUSICNSW Touring Grant to help take their infectious genre bending songs to the people, INVISIBLE FRIEND have carved a reputation and respect for their formidable live performances, musical ingenuity and support for independent original music in Australia.
With sublime vocals, hooks & grooves - 2009 sees INVISIBLE FRIEND emerge as one of the country's most distinct live and recorded acts...
