On the street I saw a small girl cold and shivering in a thin dress, with little hope of a decent meal. I became angry and said to God: "Why did you permit this? Why don't you do something about it?" For a while God said nothing. That night he replied, quite suddenly:
"I certainly did something about it. I made you."
I once heard a story about a homeless man on Hollywood Blvd who really thought he was invisible. But one day a kid handed the man a Christian pamphlet. The homeless guy was shocked and amazed, "What! You can see me? How can you see me? I'm invisible!"
It isn't hard to comprehend this man's slow spiral into invisibility. Once on the street, people started to walk past him, ignoring him as if he didn't exist... much like they do a piece of trash on the sidewalk. It's not that people are bad, but if we make eye contact, or engage in conversation, then we have to admit they exist and that we might have a basic human need to care. Read More
For many years I saw lots of people who live outdoors, who were sitting on the sidewalks of the cities begging for money. My attitude was not mean or hateful towards them but somewhat without compassion. They were known as "Bums", "Hobos", or "Tramps", never Mr. or Mrs. or friend. I'm sorry now for all of those who I walked by briskly ignoring and rejecting. I didn't know what it was like then to be homeless, unemployed, sick, and broken hearted.

Hey there! thanks for finding me on myspace! I'm so confident that all your dreams will come true and you will remember where you came from at the same time! good luck sweetie!
Many thanks for the add. Hope you enjoy the music and message behind it. My mission in life is to fight Human Trafficking. understanding the individual pain of others is sometimes to painful for an other individual to touch and that is frightening ... what i mean is that someone whose life is not traumatized and brutalized as a regular sequence of every day events unconsciously seeks the camouflage and shelter of apathy and banality from the reality of such devastating anguish and terror ...
but the spirit of young people who are used as sex slaves in the systematized global industry of human trafficking is now reaching out to the human fellowship in hope and desperation and through technology ...
it is scary when humanity turns a blind eye to this horror ... its like ignoring genocide whilst it is happening ...
what i am asking is that if you hear the cry of these young people who are existing in an environment of torture and brutality each and every day that you then please do not turn away from them ...
please reach deeply into your heart and soul and please in 2009 join a movement or become a part of an event that challenges modern slavery in the 21st century ...
Happy Birthday! Have a great weekend and thanks for making folks aware of a rapidly growing problem in our society today. You have an awesome heart and soul!
