Sounds Like
....imagine Robert Owens wearing a Stevie Wonder wig and shades, singing and playing keyboard in the middle of a circle of tribal drummers while on acid in the Brazilian rainforest…..remixed by Orbital before being jack-hammered to death by Burial...and your nearly there..
Whilst hard to define, Invisible Wire's music aims to join the dots and blur the boundaries between modern breakbeat/electro, dubstep, tech house, future jazz/funk, cosmic soul, reggae, ambient and film soundtrack material to create their very own, unique sound.
Pete began his musical career as a child, appearing on television and embarking on several nation-wide tours with his steel band. He later joined a variety of rock and soul/funk bands which led onto composing various dance and rock-based music in the studio, having international feature releases on compilation albums and working with the likes of Bugz In The Attic, Andy Morris, Rolo McGinty (The Woodentops), Lalomie Washburn (Hi Voltage), Nathan Coles (Is This, Wiggle and Fabric) and Gareth Oxby (Tribalation and Alien Funk Movement). He has also had his music remixed by the likes of Michael Nyman, All Stars, Radical Sista (Asian Dub Foundation) and featured on the Headphonic Compilation Series (Millenium Records) under the guise of Bubble Factory (Eukahouse) with Dan Ward. His influences range from The Doors and David Bowie through to the full spectrum of hip hop, reggae, classical and salsa artists.
Jeremy has also been involved in music since childhood and started out playing guitar as a teenager in several rock bands, progressing onto jazz flute and then djying house, breaks and techno. His vinyl obsession led him into production and the underground clubbing scene where he met Pete through his regular attendance at legendary London tech house party ‘Wiggle’. Like Pete, his influences and production style are massively diverse and most recently worked with soul vocalist Mel Dymond and punk/jazz/disco muso Colin Webster for live electronic/soul act Ink Project who he recorded in the studio and toured the UK with over a period of 3 years. Jeremy also works as a music publicist/manager and represents a variety of acts across the full spectrum of jazz, soul, rock and dance.
The duo are currently in the studio working hard on more debut material so if you are a label, artist, film producer or commercial venture looking for new and original music then please don’t hesitate to PM them at:
