Mike Carnie writes all songs and plays all guitars, drums, bass, keys, and synth for all songs. None of the instruments are looped or programmed. No drum machine is used. No vocals - I throw in words/dialogue from an array of media sources. I recorded, mixed, and mastered all songs on a Yamaha (AW16G) 16-track digital recorder at home. I started creating and recording music for the 1st time back in August 2005 when I received the 16-track recorder.

I actually had not seen that NIN video. I can imagine that, being a musician, you are bound to get more nonsense plaguing your comments pages and such.
I have been keeping busy. I am currently writing some poetry(there is someone I admire strongly-I am not willing to call it love yet-and I have had enough varied experiences the last few weeks to fill a few poems) and beginning a series of short stories that focus on Shadow psychology as well as the more immediate shorts I am writing for two different anthologies.
I went to the eye doctor today and, yet again, I was forced to face the realization that my right eye is decaying fairly quickly. I am not exactly sure if I will ever go blind, but, if I ever to face that, there is always lasik surgery.
My first semester of college ended a week ago and my next begins on the 11th-plenty of time to get stuff done and look for a new job.

I dig this sound. At first listen it sounds discordant. But after further analysis, the sounds meld into something that I can't quite describe yet. But I like it.
