Iona started writing age 11... and couldnt stop so now she has written thousands of songs(65x songs in the last 3weeks). In the past Iona has experimented with different genres, She has recorded and performed ACOUSTIC SOUL, FUNKY HOUSE, POP, BREAKBEAT, RNB, HIPHOP, DRUM N BASS with different producers, bands, MC's, Clubs, Venues, Pirate and Mainstream Radio stations, Film and TV. Iona is well known for her freakish harmonic gift for Freestyle vocals(improvisation-where the words/tune and structure all come out of thin air off the cuff whatever is being played).
This year Iona has Written and recorded music for a couple of films/t.v. Recently worked on AIRPLAYS album, which is breakbeat and so sexy(www.myspace.com/airplayweb)! Also wrote and performed on Delta9's album-check out SAVOUR MY FLAVOUR among many others, and many others albums.
Iona has settled on her own genre which is SWEET ACOUSTIC SOUL, She wrote her album on a farm in Somerset with nothing but a view and keys and cubase set up.
She demo'd her debut album: "SWEET CONTRADICTION" and has been traveling throughout Europe and the States, right now between L.A, London and New York doing showcases and meetings, promoting the music and meeting labels, managers and producers who want to be involved with the album.
Hiya Iona! Hope you are well and enjoying the English sunshine! Just wanted to let you know that my new album "Letting Go" is now released. God Bless, Tim.

If you love and miss THE BAND, here's your chance to experience the next best thing! The THE BAND Band has been lauded by critics as being "as close as it gets to the real thing," performing timeless classics such as "The Weight", "The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down", and “Up On Cripple Creek” from The Band's legendary repertoire.
It’s been 40 years since The Band played at Woodstock, and over 32 years since their farewell concert, The Last Waltz. But while The Band may be long gone from the stage, The THE BAND Band is the perfect remedy for Band-starved fans everywhere!

On Friday 10th October, 19year old Joshua Piehl of Tunbridge Wells Kent and three other young graffiti artists were sentenced to a total of 6 years in High Down Prison after pleading guilty to a charge of 'conspiracy to commit criminal damage' at Southwark Crown Court.
I beleive that it is wrong when property is deemed by British law to be more important than human life. It is outrageous that someone who hospitalises or rapes another human being can receive a much smaller sentence than a teenager writing his name somewhere he is not supposed to.
I feel that sending a teenager into prison, bearing in mind the potentially damaging long-term effect of such a sentence, for a graffiti offence committed when he was a child is outrageously excessive. Besides being a scandalous waste of taxpayer's money and taking up valuable prison space, which could have been used for dangerous criminals, it is morally irresponsible and socially destructive to alienate any young person from society in such a way for such a non-violent crime.
The message sent out to other teenagers by imposing such a high sentence not only alienates youth from society but actually encourages what it seeks to prevent by promoting a lack of faith in the justice system and a lack of respect for authority.
