IONA MARSHALL is an imaginative songwriter. Her songs are Celtic tinged and her performances are heartfelt and enigmatic. She sings about landscape, love, travel, spirituality and whatever sounds come out in a stream of consciousness. Born in Glasgow, brought up in Bridge of Earn, and having roamed a few far flung places of the world, help explain why.
Iona has an intricate finger picking guitar style which suits fits her angelic Scottish voice and folky roots creations.
She plays other instruments and uses natural samples in her home made 8 track recordings, creating a textured and experimental sound. She produced 2 of her own albums last summer - "I'.m.-Pulse" and "Ghur," shortly followed by the production of fellow songwriter William Douglas's album - "Postcards."
She's looking forward to more musical collaborations, gigs, journeys and life in general.

a friend is like a flower that blooms just for you..and we can be our real selves when we see what's true..a friend is like a gentle rain when you thirst..and we are dancing rings around a rose called mother earth..a friend is like the moon choosing to reflect the light..and we couldn't see the beautiful stars unless it was for the dark of nights..a friend is like a flower we send to ourselves..a gift that just keeps on opening until the light of love is shown and felt.
