Bluegrass Music Association of Iowa is an organization of bands, bluegrass musicians, fans, and friends that want to see bluegrass music played for generations to come. Bluegrass needs to be played in the schools, city courtyards, libraries, coffee shops, theaters, and festivals all across the country!! But we want to make sure that it continues to be played in Iowa!!
Bluegrass Music Association of Iowa will do its very best to provide information about bands, festivals, events, and links to a variety of services at a reasonable price. We will focus on events in Iowa, services that are provided in Iowa, and eventually will host some bluegrass festivals here in Iowa, but will also be open to outside events.
Membership will consist of a yearly directory of bands, festivals and events, a bi-annual newsletter, and regular email newsletters for $10 per year.
Bands will be able to display their information for $35 for a 1/4 page ad.
Events ad prices are as follows:
1/4 page $50, 1/2 page $75, Full page $120. Deadline for band listing and festival information is December 30, 2008. Memberships will begin in 2008 with the directory to to be out around February 2009.

This is a new endeavor and we will need alot of support from everyone. If you are interested in assisting with any part of the organization, have ideas or input, we welcome you to share with us. Our sole purpose is to give bluegrass musicians the opportunity to play bluegrass and to keep fans informed of where the performances are. We will also be considering an awards show for 2010.
