My name's Chris, and a big hello to everyone that visits myspace here! If you see me about come and say hello..it would great to see you whether i've met you or not!
Anyhows I have many fingers in many pies at this current time...i'm interested in a whole host of different things including Music, Cricket, Djing, Events Management, Music Promotion, quirky history, British islands, the psychedelic dimensions & travelling as much as possible.
I'm currently working on several different projects within the world of psychedelic music. With my good friends Alex Story & Sally Nicklass we created Daytrippers which is a daytime psychedelic event in London in the UK. Daytrippers aims to bring the original psychedelic vibe into the modern day. Were currently acting as the Twisted Records afterparty with our next event is on Sunday Nov 1st 2009 after Shpongle Live at The Roundhouse in London.
I'm also involved with promoting Omniscience, a Kent based psychedelic organisation of musicians, DJ's & artists which has been putting on highly successful events in southern England & London for nearly 4 years now. Keep your ears out for future forest parties which are planned for the autumn season (Oct 10th), the May 2nd event was attended by around 800 people and was a wonderful start to the summer deep in the Surrey forests.
I DJ under the name IPcress and have played for some of the biggest club nights & records labels in the UK such as Twisted Records, Alpha Omega, Little Green Planet, Chrysalid, Alchemy Records, Hadra Records, Liquid Records, Bom Shanka Records and many many more. I've also played at festivals in the UK and abroad such as Glade, Waveform, Wickerman & Tetris Safari with overseas bookings in Holland, Ireland, Switzerland & Germany over recent years. My style can vary from chilled minimal electronica right the way through to techno & progressive trance. My emphasis is on mixing different styles of music together to create a psychedelic cocktail...a journey through sound.
