The music recorded here is the product of free improvisations. This pieces are taken from our two albums, available through Setola di Maiale - musiche non convenzionali (www.setoladimaiale.net).
The work was organized as follows: Daniele sent live sounds — via midi connection — to eight electronic pads which were then played by Stefano with drumsticks. In this way the first musician’s choises directly reflected on the other musician’s work.
They both didn’t know what direction the music would have taken, cause it went its way, regardless to their possible intentions. In practice, the sound produced by each pad (its high, its timbre, its volume and its striking up) could change in any moment, offering a shifting base for a percussive work as much free.
This method seems to meet the typical sensitivity/needs of a free improvisation duo. In this records and live performances, sound development and rythmic movement, two elements usually depending on a single player, are the inextricable result of the two musicians.
Daniele is therefore responsible for the sound choise while Stefano, without any control on it, plays and composes a music based on the constantly changing material organized by Daniele. While mastering neither overdubs intervened.

IPERSENSITY è un duo di musica elettronica di improvvisazione, formato da Stefano Giust (pads percussivi elettronici) e Daniele Pagliero (campionamenti, strumenti elettronici e analogici).
Ad oggi hanno pubblicato due albums e suonato numerosi concerti, soprattutto in rassegne d'arte contemporanea.
La progettualità sonora è organizzata secondo questa modalità: Daniele invia tramite collegamenti midi, suoni 'vivi' ad otto pads elettronici che Stefano suona utilizzando le bacchette.
In questo modo le scelte operate da un musicista si riflettono sull'operatività dell'altro. In pratica il suono (altezza, timbro, volume, attacco) di ciascun pad può cambiare/alterare in qualsiasi momento e analogamente anche il lavoro di percussione, secondo la sensibilità/necessità tipica in un duo di improvvisazione libera.
C'è uno strettissimo rapporto tra sviluppo sonoro e movimento ritmico: solitamente dipendono da un singolo improvvisatore che può controllare entrambi sul proprio strumento, ma in questa peculiare circostanza sottostanno a due esecutori (Daniele controlla lo sviluppo sonoro, Stefano sviluppa il movimento ritmico). Nei dischi realizzati non vengono eseguite sovrancisioni.
