Formed in the Summer of 2006, Ipsofacto cover the essential jazz, funk and fusion artists of the last 30 years, putting their own stamp on works by well known artists in the field such as Stevie Wonder, The Crusaders, Grover Washington Jnr, Corduroy, James Taylor Quartet and The Average White Band. The band have a wealth of experience behind them with drummer and band founder Julian Hankins moving to the South West after many years of sessions and live work in London. The rest of the band is made up of keyboard player Alex Stevens who has been playing live jazz, funk, rock and blues in and around Gloucestershire for over 13 years, guitarist Ben Campbell who has moved to the South West from the Midlands where he was working at a top recording studio and also playing in various live bands, saxophonist Ian Beer who has played in many of the regions top bands and bassist Mark Brown completing the band who has also had extensive experience playing in many jazz, rock and funk outfits in the south west over the last 14 years. The band offer a smooth and highly professional sound that only comes with the experience and knowledge that is gained by performing for the combined number of years that the members of the group have between them.
