The Amateur Softball Association of America (ASA) no longer displays every bat made by bat manufacturers that do not comply with current ASA bat standards. If you want to know what bats are approved for use in ASA Championship Play, follow one of the steps below.



-check the approved list located in the drop down boxes above and search by the specific manufacturer or select all

-check for either the 2000 or 2004 ASA Certification Mark (both depicted above) and then be sure the bat is not listed on the PDF's above as a banned bat by ASA (Note: The lists above are broken up into two PDF's to help umpires in the NCAA and the NFHS because of their minor rule differences.

Looks like you can use your Worth to me. If it has a ASA certification stamp on it then its good to go even according to that drop down menu your bat is on the approved list now.


ASA has really backed off on the banned bats list. Pretty simple now. If it has a ASA stamp on it and its not on the illegal bat list then your good. They have very few bats pictured on the illegal bat page now.

Gary, word in the softball world is that the Thunder Advance, Trump X-ROCK, Evil HOTMAX are the top balls going right now.


If we can get either one of those 3 i think we will be in good shape.


If its going to me more of a price thing for us then i suggest the Thunder ZN. Everybody says that ball is a upgrade over the sorry Heat ball but is a little more affordable.


Softballfans. com and Hitrunscore. com out of Plano has the Thunder Advance for 52.99 a dozen. Thats about as cheep as your going to find them i think.


Anacondasports. com has the Trump X-ROCK for 55.

Back in the day the Heat was a pretty good ball, Now it seems like the Heat is jut a OK ball compared to what else is out there.
