Few of us were there to witness the explosion of the Sex Pistols, or the mod uprising of the Jam. Some of us are to young even to remember Oasis going from working class roots to a take over the country. If things go the way I REMEMBER TAPES will have you believe, you will be able to say ‘I was there’, as these musical heirs’ natural love children are now on the rise to becoming the next big thing.
I REMEMBER TAPES formed as a result of four local boys from diverse musical backgrounds and talents fusing to create a unique explosion of musical energy and distinct sounds.
They wanted to create the music that they wanted to hear, music not the usual jingle jangle but something driving, meaningful and unpredictable. Music with their personality stamped all over it.
The sound mixes it up with driving double bass drums and hypnotic indie guitar lines swirling in acres of reverb. Sing-a-long choruses with amazing lyrics and an explosive stage presence: these boys are tight, loud and rhythmic.
Confident, ballsy and defiantly energetic: what started out as a bit of fun escalated into I REMEMBER TAPES.
Their early bedroom demos found their way into the hands of “The Animal Farm”, producers of One Night Only, Esteban and Rosalita. The Animal Farm’s production has resulted in a stunning debut EP titled "C45”.
I REMEMBER TAPES don’t care what sound is now. They are just hot, piping hot. Listen and you too, will believe.

'Simmering in a broth comprised of The Clash and early Kings of Leon, energetic and fun, comes complete with a little tag that says 'One's to watch.' GODISONTV.COM
'Let your ears become friends of this band as they are something quite brilliant.' TASTY FANZINE
“The best noise I’ve heard in years. Like a mountain-goat with tourettes, trapped in an elevator shaft”. FEED YOUR HEAD MUSIC
The voice of disenchanted angry youth has always gone hand in hand with rock. The baton is now taken up by I REMEMBER TAPES. As well as the ballsy rock, they also melt into the mix on stage the best bits of two tone / ska, punk and hard beats.
As well as the aforementioned influences, they are equally fresh, inventive and vigorous - winning fans in their dozens with each gig. CHRIS ROBERTS -WINCHESTER MASSIVE
Confident and ballsy, in the manner of the Jam getting a butt-f*cking from the Sex Pistols. On this evidence, they’re going to be picking up fans very fast indeed. A punky edgy blur (or Blur) of ego-driven attitude, coupled with Kasabian style beats – this was defiant, in your face, English indie rock at its best.' ROB BALL - PLACID PIRANHA
