Two-time national champion, pianist Irene Florence Wong has won the Canadian Chopin Competition, Yamaha Grand Prize, and the Mississauga Arts Council's “Emerging Music Talent” Award. Recent tours span from Tokyo (New Juilliard Ensemble), Seoul and Beijing (Sejong Soloists), to various provinces of Sweden (Musical Seasons Quartet). NYC performances have included Alice Tully Hall, Metropolitan Museum of Art, Hungarian and Polish Consulates, Steinway Hall, and Yamaha Salon. She has been broadcast live for Hungarian Television, WQXR 96.3 FM, CBC radios 1 and 2, CJRT-FM, Bravo!TV, and Rogers Cable10.
Ms. Wong has performed as soloist with members of l'Orchestre Metropolitan de Montreal, as well as the Abbotsford, Mississauga, Barrie, UWO and UBC symphonies. As the former executive director of the NYC-based ART Symphony and artistic director of the Nyack-based Soiree Virtuosi, she participated in both their world debuts as both soloist and member of the chamber ensembles. The past two years have included Juilliard’s five-day Early Music Residency hosted by William Christie and his acclaimed European baroque ensemble, Les Arts Florissants. Along with violinist Sean Riley, the Riley-Wong duo performs regularly in Westchester county, and anticipates a Weill Hall debut in the near future.
Having already completed two degrees and a diploma in piano performance, Ms. Wong awaits graduation from Juilliard in 2010 with her Masters in Harpsichord, a student of Lionel Party.

Anyway, it's about time you got yourself a site here, FINALLY!!! I so would love to go visit you in NY... Just tied up with stuff this few months.
But for sure we have to play a duet/duo sometime. I just realized I have never done any chamber stuff with you ever!! But it's all on my to-do-list for sure.
And yes the good, the bad, and the ugly... Gosh, did we ever grow. Maybe even a bit too fast too soon. But it also made me realize what real sisterhood/friendship is like.
