I was born in Pakistan, to Swedish parents. Raised there (0-3 months, 6th through 9th grade) and in Sweden (the rest). Besides music (soul, jazz, hip hop, house, contemporary gospel) and politics (definitely liberal in the European sense, and maybe in the American as well) I'm fascinated by, you know, God and stuff. Actually the quote at the top sort of touches on that, the "personal revolution" being what we in the Swedish evangelical subculture refer to as the "helgelseprocessen". And while I'm not shockingly good at team sports, I have been sufficiently socialized into the masculine norm to love doing them.
When I grow up I want to be a missionary or a critically acclaimed, but sadly commercially unsuccessful soul singer. Or a Member of the European Parliament. Or, indeed, all three.
Here at MySpace I will attempt to make friends with both the hip, post-modern emergent church types who read Trots Allt and Relevant Magazine and only listen to bad music, and the cool, good looking okayplayer clique. They say MKs are expert at that sort of thing.

While pausing Cirkus Transmopol this fall we're focusing on a different project. We'll be on tour in Germany January/Febuary 2010 together with singer songwriter Florian Ostertag.
The tour is called EVERYDAY LIFE TOUR 2010 - it's a humble attempt to give some space for global social justice issues in the European indie music scene.

Oj, synd att jag missade grillningen, och på min egen gård också! Har dykt utanför Vinga idag, & igår hängde jag på Saltholmen med David W med efterföljande grillning. Vi får försöka igen nån annan gång, åker till Sthlm imorgon men är tillbaka till Way out west.
