Irie Ites started in 1995 as a radio show on the Freies Radio Kassel station. From these relatively humble roots it soon grew to include a sound system and an online magazine. One of Irie Ites's aims has always been to forge a tight worldwide network, and this has now culminated in the label.
Dubmatix feat. Ranking Joe “War Inna Corner“ was the first 7 inch-release on the new Irie Ites label in 2008. The tune is shaped by the stepper tradition and unites vintage elements with a crisp modern sound. The fat horn section and melodious organ conjure smiles onto faces, while the driving rhythm and Ranking Joe's toasting will sweep people onto the dancefloor. The B-side is a Raw Version“, the ideal backdrop for soundsystem MC performances. The Irie Ites passion for roots, vintage, dub stepper and danceability is irresistibly united in this single.
