The Rising plays Irish Trad-Rock, original Irish Rock, and contemporary music. The Seven piece band includes Lead Guitar, Fiddle, Banjo, Mando, Keys, Organs, Tin Whistle, Bodhran, Drum Kit, and Bass Guitar. The Rising played almost 200 shows in 2006, and plans an equally daunting tour schedule for 07. In March, The Rising released UISCA BEATHA (Water of Life), a live album recorded between November of 06 and March of 07.
