    I am an experimental filmmaker from the northwest of Europe, I like to cook and to cut hair (not sure if in that combination). I like kaleidoscopes and magnifying glasses and all sorts of lenses and filters. And I really like trees.

    I love filmmakers such as Peter Kubelka, Stan Brackhage, Maya Deren, Michel Gondry, Dziga Vertov. I love old Astrid Lindgren films. Brideshead Revisited is the best series ever made.

This is the trailer for the experimental film 'Viskra', made by Dutch filmmaker Iris Piers, with a soundtrack by the Swedish band Fredrik. Viskra is a 6 minute long mythic fable about the darkness of winter and was shot in the snowy woods of Dalarna on 8 mm black& white film.
