Eversince early 2002 Irmin spent their time writing powerful, oldschool thrash/black metal songs, containing Kreator-like riffs with a touch of the mighty Mayhem’s darkness. In April, 2004, the band finally felt ready to hit the stage and overwhelm humanity with their crushing powers and did so on April 30 in Metropool, Hengelo (NL). This gig was received amazingly well, and some more successful performances followed (With Altar, Devious, Agresión and others).
In November 2004, Irmin hit the Studio Metro in Hengelo (NL) to record the 5 track mini CD "The Battle of Time" which was released in April 2005. “The Sceptre of Hate” thrashes in aggressive madness, “The War of the Gods” is attended with the clashing of swords and shields, “The Battle of Time” is upon us, “The Rulers of our Kingdom” rule in blackened darkness and “Pest, Haestige Sieckte” wipes out humanity.
After this the band recorded their first full-length "Into My Order" in 2006. Featuring 10 more advanced and more varied songs they still managed to sound as brutal as ever. A lot of infuences had blended in a unique, yet very aggressive, style.
Disappointed with the sound of the album, they decided not to release the album as it was recorded.
Instead of releasing this album, IRMIN concentrated on writing more songs and playing some gigs. It was at this time that the musical direction navigated to a brutal yet almost symphonic kind of direction.
This resulted in the recording of the promo “The Summoning”. This promo was entirely recorded at Bert’s home and received some great responses from local metal fans.
The band was also very pleased with the result and now they’re back at Bert’s again to record a full-length which will not disappoint anyone!
In the mean time Attila’s physical condition didn’t allow him to sing and play bass at the same time anymore. So IRMIN attracted former Belle Gunness bassplayer Maaike. She will play on the forthcoming album and play all gigs from 1 January.
