Yes, it's me that is welding all of this. The funniest occurance at shows is having someone walk up to my husband and ask him about the art. He simply points at me and says: "That's the girl you want to see!"

People have been asking when I started working with metal. And when I thought about it, I realized I've been working in metal since I was sixteen. I made lost wax silver jewelry. And I wanted to weld when I was twenty but technology had to catch up with the artist. The helmet of the day (before now)was clumsy and ridiculous to use. An artist back then would have had a difficult time doing what we do now with the state of the art auto darkening helmets available. Which is why there are so many astounding metal artists out there now. We went through a lot of difficultly working with clumsy helmets.
So welcome to my website and to answer the question of the "Rhapsody" in Iron...well, it's not just about a love for music, it's also a love for steel (and all metals). Working metal into art puts me in a "Rapturous" way...Very SPIRITUAL~!

I was pretty busy this last week, enjoyed a Heart concert with daughter and had fun reminiscing my younger days and adventures! lol What's really cool is sharing those days renewed with a vivacious and energetic teenager! Sending to all my friends that I hold dear a special Fourth of July blessing..I must confess this Holiday for me does bring somber memories to the fore-front of my life..which do not misunderstand ...it should and will always...I consider myself to be extremely proud of being an American..having been born here fourth generation Texan also...both of my parents are one of eleven children therefore I have many Uncles and Aunts and people I am related to somehow or another all over this great land..but I have and had many Uncles older than my Dad who fought in WW11 and then some in Korea and some on the banks of Normandy some in Britian some in Africa...and on and on ..but the thing that will always stay with me even more so ..I am the ex-wife of a Viet-Nam vet who spent two tours in Nam..one in Korea and One In Panama...and I have seen what war can do to a person..but through it all I have first hand have witnessed the Patriotism that is so engrained it becomes part of your persona..Today I remember first and foremost my beloved ones the sacrifices they made for this country and truly to me the words God Bless America are very precious ...I don't often get on my soap box about anything..but I witnessed the treatment of our Nam vets especially and we need to stand up and make sure our men and women in our Armed Forces are given all that is necessary to come home to there families..If I have offended anyone for my declarations I have made I will not apologize...but that doesn't mean I would not respect your beliefs also...Much Love ..Enjoy the day but teach your children the real reason we celebrate the FOURTH OF JULY...Always...Love and Light....Red
