I'd like to use this space to thank and give credit to the people I have worked with and made tracks with. The beat for 'I Need Music' was written and produced by James 'Jimi Phoenix' Nutt (www.myspace.com/jamesnuttmusic) and the lyrics were written by myself, Chris 'Diagnostik' McLeod. It was recorded at Big Foote Music Studios by Steven DePalo.
I would also like to acknowledge Irfhan 'Detox' Mirza. We've recorded many tracks together and are planning on a new project very soon.
Influences
I'm pretty much influenced by everything I hear. My main influences on the lyrical side of music are Big L, Biggie, Big Pun, Jay-Z, Nas, Ghostface, Mos Def, Talib Kweli, Slug from Atmosphere, Pharoahe Monch, Common, the list is endless. On the production side I love DJ Premier, 9th Wonder, Just Blaze, J Dilla, Heatmakerz, Kanye, Ant from Atmosphere. There's too many to mention them all. I have to say there are people I have met since I started making my own music that you probably will never have heard of but they deserve a mention. Irfhan 'Detox' Mirza is an awesome lyricist and always has great ideas for our music. Mike 'Switch' Hammond is an awesome sound engineer and producer that I often have the pleasure of working with. Steven DePalo is an audio genius/musician/engineer and a huge hero of mine from New York, shout to Ova Looven. Jimi Phoenix is another great musician/engineer/producer that I love working with. I also have to say that my Mother and Father are huge influences of mine. My Mom would play all sorts of music when I was a baby and she has a great singing voice. My Dad was a folk musician who has a huge music taste range. I always respect what they have to say about my music, which is usually very positive.
I started making tracks in 2001 with Detox (check out his profile). Together we are known as Suspects. We've done shows and received good feedback. I am currently working on a new project which should be finished in the summer (07). Keep checking out the site for new tracks.

It's been pretty hectic the last couple of months, I've had to rebuild my studio and have been building a showreel for my Degree.
I haven't properly put the track together yet mate, however, I'm doing a library for my final project next term and one of the cds I'm doing will be hip/trip hop etc. so if you're up for it, I'll have to give you a shout for a rather decent sized project!?
