I am an artist a cave explorer, a triathlete and an ex-goth. I've completed over 110 triathlons including two ironman, 12 half irons and every distance in between. September 2008 marked the end of my 20th season and I may take a few years off to persue more caving, hiking and enjoy life.
----My true passion and love is ART which was my major at Iowa State University. I also was fortunate enough to study under local artist Robert Venosa who has been a great influence over the years. My work is best described as a mix of surrealism, cubism w/ a little art nouveau, but you can just call it wierd trippy shit. Art is magic and sometimes you can learn things about yourself you never saw. I recently took a long break from painting but will be back creating in no time.
----------------------------I'm a cave explorer (we don't call it spelunking), and it's nothing like those cheesy horror flicks except it's real dark and full of danger and beauty. The only monsters in there are usually other cavers and a few bats. It takes a lot of endurance and physical and mental strength to scale 100' pits and get through 9" squeeses. We mainly are interested in cave conservation and mapping new areas. There's no money or fame invloved but just a labor of love. Last March I caved in Northern Thailand and fell in the love with the culture and landscape. ----------------------------------------------------------------
I used to be goth but after ten years I finally got it out of my system. I had a lot of fun wearing all the black leather and chains and growing my hair down to my ass. I'm still a big fan of the music but I dropped out of the scene and have few regrets. A few goths are o.k. but most are just boring and brainless sheep.----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I am drawn towards people who are articlate, artistic, athletic or just sarcastic. Just don't be boring! I still read those things called books. I also like to go to Denver on the weekends to get some real food. I'm from Chicago the land of the big eaters and the food in Boulder doesn't always cut it for me. Life's too short to not have fun and travel!!!!!
Who I'd like to meet: Artists, cavers, triathletes, non conformists, or some smart and adventurous people. I love to meet people all over the world. I love to travel and may pay you a visit.
