About Iron Lung:
I started doing music for performance around 2000. I was the lead singer in this metal band out of Miami called “A Four Letter Word”. I earned my name here after trying out for the band with no mic or PA system and the other members where still able to hear me. The band grew in popularity without a real studio demo but; while reviewing a contract sent to us by Mushroom Cloud Records, we disbanded. The drummer and guitarist would eventually get back together with a long time friend and form a new band called “Thick as Blood”, which is currently signed to Eulogy Records.
It was around 01’-02’ when I went back to my roots and started messing around with instrumentals. Finally, after a few life (and lyric) changing events, I released my first official mixtape around June of 2007. Most of the lyrics were kept along with two newer songs and redone over new beats I produced myself to form the “10 Reasons Why You Won’t Like Lung EP”. February of 08’ saw the first release of “Samurai Electro”. This was a four track EP that was also sent out as a demo. It was re-released April 11th 2008 along with a new companion download featuring the acapellas and instrumentals.
A compilation release featuring singles, collabs and rare tracks entitled "Underground Oddities" was released shortly after. The tracks dates range from before “10 Reasons…” to after “Samurai Electro”.
Currently I am releasing a new EP entitled "I'm A Lesbian, No Homo" and my first full length instrumental album "The Lonely Hearts Club (FL Chapter)", as well as Vol. 2 of Underground Oddities. Any questions or comments, or booking inquires feel free to contact me: IronLungMiami@yahoo.com
