Zombies, and My "END of the WORLD" Philosophy.

There are so many things I think we should consider for survival.

We all know someday Zombies will attack and we will have to defend ourselves. Thats actually only part of our survival planning. Nobody knows why the Zombies are out there and who started this mess. Thats as bad as trying to figure out todays politics. Feel free to replace the word Zombies with what ever you feel will be your "End of the World" enemy. The real question is what can we do to survive. So I have decided to add these tips as I come across them.

My first tip is about Food, and what can we do to live better, I assume you will take to the Hills with your family.

So ...
Dutch Ovens, You have to cure them first, then pick an appropriate size for your family. 4 quart, 8 quart, 12 quart, hanging on a tripod. and cooking over coals ( coals can also be found after last light evening fire) a small fire is your next option. This is the best way to cook for the whole family. Anything you can cook in an Oven at home, you can do the same in a Dutch Oven.

Also, I like the Pots with legs so you can stck them for even bigger family events or for multiple meal options.

I will put on Here some great recipies from the Boy Scouts. They really Know how to live in the field.

When you consider all the possibilities that a Dutch Oven can do, the weight is a small price to pay. I see it like being in the Marines on a 15 mile road march, everybody has to carry somthing. I suggest you delegate like the soldiers of the Revolutionary war did, Men were the Hunters and Fighters, so thier Women and Children carried most of the familys furnishings.
