IRON THUMB is formed in Tokyo, 1995 with Itabashi (ba), Taichi F (gt), and Schmpeter (gt) as a speed metal band. Soon they made their first demo "Ina (The Denial)" and grabed hearts of metal heads of Tokyo. Their lyrics was so eccentric that they got famous as one of the most stupid bands, while the sound was rough.
Then Taichi I came into the band as a vocalist and made some demos such as "Batafurai Donki (Butterfly hits bluntly)" (1998), "Goran yo Roujin da (Look at that old man)" (1998) , and "Shaka Maru Dashi (Buddha Unhidden)" (1999). All members of the band were feeling so good vibration in these years.
First CD "Drivolver" was released in 1999 and second CD "Burasagari Entou Hou (Dangle to throw far)" in 2001, and third CD "Saru Kani Arumagedon (Armageddon between Monkeys and Crabs)" in 2002.
Then Taichi I left the band in 2003 at last for difference of literature.
In 2004, fourth CD "Pippu Rouyaban (Pip, the jailkeeper)" was released with many guest musicians and painters.
Taichi F left the band for his alergy of a certain kind of plant, and Schmpeter hid himself. It is said that Schmpeter and his rival (a famous private detective) fell into the cascade together.
2005 was the year of explosion. T-mura (vo, gt) and Shouchu-in (gt) got in the band and made "Magnet Power Positive Thinking". This album is, as to say, a kind of magnum opus in the history of heavy metal.
In early 2006 IRON THUMB made a novel game called "Gekitou Itabashiman (Fight of Itabashiman)" in collaboration with Dokdokron. Those who play this game always find that the game is full of funny jokes and finally are moved their hearts by its serious story.
Of course IRON THUMB made powerful songs such as "Happy Turn of Kameda," "Osamu no Kawa Nagare (Osamu, don't go down that river)" and "Jijii Man no Tema (The Theme of a Certain Old Man)," the renewal of their own tune of 1998.
Nov. 2007, IRON THUMB's new album "Kanzen Hentai (Complete Metamorphosis)" was done and on sale now. Find it in Disk Heaven Tokyo.
