About me: I'm at the midpoint of this life odyssey and it's skewed my perception of the world. Suddenly, I don't need anyone's permission.
I'm happily married to someone who is not my opposite but whom I respect and admire (and somehow I think that's the key).
I have four offspring that are the most amazing miracles. Please stop reading if parental bragging annoys you.
Eldest - all honors classes (algebra 2 as a freshman?), starting football center (6'1", 230 lbs at 14, deadlifting 285 and 100m is down to 5.6) that has got the coaches' attention, string bass in the school's symphony orchestra and made all-region, drummer in a band that writes all their own music, and still calls me "mama".
Middle - straight A's with a smile, first trumpet section (second chair) as a beginner, outstanding offensive and defensive lineman as well as blossoming long-stick defender in lacrosse, unbelievably sweet.
Girl - honor roll, choir, cheerleading (the kind where they win almost every tournament and make the non-cheerleading types pause to consider that maybe it IS a sport), working on her back tuck and showing the most amazing mothering skills.
Baby - ironic and sometimes sarcastic, silly and strong, learning gymnastics and loves to sing, sits at the piano and tries to play, crawls in bed with me and plays my "snuggly bunny", and will look me deeply in the eyes before he kisses me (once tried to get me to eat a booger on his finger under the pretense of a kiss but that's forgivable.)
