Sounds Like
Armageddon with all the robots, dinosaurs, gargoyles, and vampires we all really want to become.
Like we tried to start a pop band, but fell in love with rock in the process.
Mostly just like a person telling another person to stop very urgently.
Buy our $4 EP here if you can’t make it to a show.
Or, there is always itunes:
..
Or there is Under the Mooch if you want the album art by Josh Workman (it’s pretty awesome).
I Said Stop! is not currently booking many shows, but instead working on an album. We will most likley play a few shows before the album is finished however, so stay posted.
“Indie rock group I Said Stop! wins this year for Tulsa’s Best Up-and-Coming Band. Yet another testament to the good music being made in Tulsa… Dreamy indie pop/rock outfit I Said Stop! is what Tulsa’s indie rock scene, surrounding The Soundpony, Under the Mooch, and Mooch and Burn, is all about”. – Urban Tulsa
"Tulsa’s fertile underground music scene has produced yet another addition to its broad and surreal landscape, this time in the form of I Said Stop!" - Tulsa World
[reffering to our $4 EP] "It’s like paying to cover for one of thier wicked-fun shows and then taking them with you. Go get happy with I Said Stop! at itunes." - Tulsa People
"Hey, I SAID STOP!, thanks for like shattering my knee with your flying pieces of instrument. But it’s okay, I don’t mind because I fucking love you guys." - disgruntled victim/happy fan
Formed in Tulsa from previous bands: "Goodnight, Space Cowboy!", "When I Doodle I Draw Toasters", and several others with names too terrible to mention, I Said STOP! was spoken/sang into existence by an accident you cant help but dance to. We like putting on headdresses and summoning ancient Native American spirits with our megaphones and synthesizers before practice. This has been our way since our first practice september of ’05.
I Said Stop! has performed our ritual while sharing the stage with: Shiny Toy Guns, Maritime, J+J+J, Skybox, Baby Calander, El Paso Hot Button, Neon Signs Like The World Is Great, Stevedore, Elliott The Letter Ostrich, Callupsie, USA IS A MONSTER and many others with names you might recognize, but probably don’t.
