Roll up Roll up! This is a call to all artist collectives, community groups, musicians, theatre companies, performers and any interested, enthusiastic individuals to take part in this years halloween March of the Dead. Starting in Hoxton square and heading up the Kingsland Road to deepest Dalston on the eve of 31st October 2007. Following on from last years success, the March of the Dead is a celebration of creativity and community in East London that will spill uncontrollably onto the Kingsland Road.
In order to bring this event into reality, The StrangeWorks Collective and Passing Clouds Works are running a series of open making workshops to build masks, lanterns and flags etc.
Originally one of the longest Roman roads in Londinium is it a road that holds many bloody secrets and strange stories in its tarmac belly!
Imagine what would emerge if the Kingsland Road cracked open and all spirits of the dead broke loose. This is your inspiration!
If you want to join in the build or your group has a dream costume or puppet you want to create then get in contact! The dates of these workshops are on 14th, 21st and 28th October
