Isiak Holiday Jr is an African American who has taken a liking to the beauty of Original Pinoy Music. With his Filipino family the Abrils, and his best friend Richie, they have teamed up to provide fellow Pinoys throughout te world a unique sound to OPM (Original Pinoy Music).
Intially, Isiak's was introduced to OPM when he was asked to sing "Ikaw" and "Ngayon at Kailanman" many years ago at the annual Filipino Christmas party. There, he instantly fell in love with the language, and music.
Years later Richie, his bestfriend, pitched the idea of possibly learning more Tagalog songs and posting them on youtube just for fun. Little did they know, after his first youtube post "Kung Malaya Lang Ako" that they would attract many viewers who appreciated what he was doing with OPM. From then on, Isiak has continue to learn more OPM and has thus posted many videos on their official youtube channel: richieartwork.
On the summer of July 2009, just two weeks before Isiak was to travel for vacation to the Philippines, his video covering Willie Reviallame's "Ikaw Na Nga" was featured on the ever s popular noontime show "Wowowee" with an open inviation by the host himself, Willie Reviallame urging Isiak to perform with him. Just a week after arriving to the Philippines, Isiak performed a memoriable duet with Kuya Willie on July 18, 2009. This five minute stint has catipulated Isiak exposure to Filipinos worldwide.
The overwhelmingly positive response by Filipinos has encouraged and inspired Isiak to pursue an exlusive career in perhaps singing his own OPM songs someday.
Even months after his Wowowee guesting, he was able to perform again with Willie Reviallame on Wowowee Seattle/Tacoma on September 13, 2009, where even then, many Filipinos showed their appreciation for his OPM covers and urged Isiak to pursue singing Tagalog songs.
This is his official myspace page where we will post our studio recordings of Isiak's OPM covers. We'd like to give special thanks to Against The Odds Records for working with us and our producer, Hubert Jones for his unique sound he has infused in Isiak's OPM.
Someday we'd like to have a Filipino composer write songs for Isiak because that would be our ultimate dream: to produce music by a foreigner who has the heart of a Filipino.
Many thanks to all those who have supported us from day one. We hope to meet you all someday!
Lastly, all the songs here are original recordings of Isiak. You may download the songs for your personal use, but they are strictly intended just for that alone. The songs are not to be sold or used commercially for they are not our original works.
