Thanks for the add! I've been following LLI and Pulling Down Heaven for a while. When I discovered you, I holed up in my bedroom, reading until the wee hours of the morning until my vision was blurry and I had to stop for sleep. They're amazing :)

    I AM THE NEW YEAR

I am your opportunity to practice
    what you have learned during
the last twelve months about life.

All that you sought the past year
    and failed to find is hidden in me;
I am waiting for you to search it out
    again and with more determination.

All the good that you tried to do
for others and didn't achieve last year
is mine to grant-- providing you have
    fewer selfish and conflicting desires.

    In me lies the potential
of all that you dreamed but didn't
dare to do, all that you hoped
    but did not perform.

    All you prayed for
but did not yet experience -
    these dreams slumber lightly,
waiting to be awakened by the touch
    of an enduring purpose -

    I am your opportunity
    to renew your allegiance
    to Him who said,
"behold, I make all things new."

    I am the new year.

    Happy New Year 2009!

So I'm reading Heart again which just makes me eager to see what's coming next.
Also, I was wondering which relationship Micheal's or Akihiro's would you say is like you and your hubby?
(Don't want to ask too much to spoil it for those who haven't read it yet.)
Is this the strangest question or what? XD
    Take care.

Hope all is well with you.

I just finished Blood Origins this morning and I really enjoyed it.
The sex (as hot as it was) did seem to distract from the main plot a bit and I was very interested in learning more about the world you created rather than the complex boy/boy relationships.
It was a refreshing new thing for me to read because I've never read anything about Goddess or Pagan religions so it has peaked my interest to look into them for myself.
    Take care.

    That's understandable.
I read the prologue before buying and it sounds very interesting. My boyfriend is really into 'the balance' and sees a deeper meaning to it in his life. I keep trying to tell him it's because he's a libra but he doesn't believe me.
Anyway I'll leave feedback when I finish it, like always. XD
    take care

I too am curious in regards to the progress of "Soul of the Fox" (if that's what the sequel to "heart" is to be called). I know you're trying to work on Soul while also satisfying fans of Coyote Child, and I applaud you for your steady efforts.
Hope to see more from you soon from either piece!

Any news on Soul? *wink* *wink* *nudge* *nudge*

    take care.

I suppose this could be a message instead but what inspired you to write Heart? Was it hard to stick with? I have a novel idea or two but once I get 25 pages into it I feel like it isn't good enough. Writing for me is such a personal experience I find myself horrified that someone else would read my writing and be cruel.
Does that ever make you nervous?
  • Mar 17 2008 4:37 PM

I read it in three days and am working on the second read now. I would have left a review on lulu but I haven't signed up....okay this may take a while. I loved it. I loved every bit of it, making Jo type 1 made the story much more real and because you have such a talent to make the reader love your characters I had to know what happened to her. She is a real character that acts like an adult. Does that make sense? I am a huge fan of you IY fanfics so I knew I would not be disappointed in Heart. I adore Aki. I want my own fox bishounen(sp?) like crazy! In all seriousness, his devotion to Jo is very inspiring. Without giving the ploty away to those who haven't read...the frying pan was a giveaway, yet I still had my doubts...you are good, woman! Unfortunately I cannot say more because I have to catch a bus but I will write more when I can....you MUST MUST MUST write the sequel this year, I cannot wait another year, month, week to find out what happens. Also, I faguely remember reading something about your first novel...how might I get ahold of that?
  • Mar 16 2008 3:31 AM

That is a fantastic idea if worst comes to worst. i'll keep it in mind if she doesnt let up! thank you!
  • Mar 6 2008 1:56 AM

Thanks so much for the heads up on your writing progress! It's rare that an author has replied to my comments and questions so promptly! Can't wait to read it all. Good luck!
