SHE: is a 1st generation Ghanaian-Canadian, pursuing a lifelong vision to empower women of colour on an international scale, using her passion for creativity as a plateau to inspire change. SHE: conceives art reflective of "a women's poetic", encompassing bold sensuality and uncompromising integrity, as a spoken-word artist and published writer currently conceiving her debut book of poetry. Citing the works of Toni Morrison, Alice Walker and Edwidge Danticat as her private doctrine of literary gospel, EvE A. Labi's words have been published by The Toronto Star, NOW Magazine, Pride News Magazine, Canada Extra, www.8rooks.com, www.afrobean.com, www.poeticsoul.ca, The Ryersonian and The Eyeopener. An award-winning social activist and event co-ordinator, SHE is unafraid to push boundaries and challenge mainstream opinion, standing firm in her resolve to blend ethnic diversity with tasteful performance arts as the Founder/President of I.S.I.S.
