Influences can change pretty darn fast. One moment, you can be influenced by a particular musician or song, and then the next moment, you may be influenced by somebody completely different, and you forgot about that first influence entirely. You might then go back and hear that first influence again, and forget about the second one. Influences are funny like that.
I'd probably have to say that my main influence is subliminal imagery, though, because I don't even know I'm being influenced by it when I see it.
