About me:

The station started in September 2006 after months of research. The format changed until we captured the 50's and 60's sound that is GOODTIME OLDIES. Using licensed jingles of the time and playing only original sound recordings of the era, the station brings back the memories of a different time when you were younger and life was full of promise and the only worry you had was who to date on a Saturday night.

The station wishes to bring back memories of the era that was fun.The 60's. Regardless of what people tell you the era started in the late 50's when Rock and Roll was young.Stars like Elvis , Little Richard , The Everly Brothers and Chuck Berry introduced a new kind of music, it was fun and you could really dance to it.FOLLOW THIS LINK TO THE STATION WEBPAGE...

We at Goodtime Oldies have searched the Cash Box, Billboard, New Musical Express Charts along with radio 2UE(Sydney Australia)Top 40 to play the top hits and forgotten favourites. Different country's have different hits and whats a hit in Australia by an American artist was not always a hit in their home country. We play them too.

Colin: Greetings from the Great Lakes region of the U.S. mainland. Hearing artists that not only have I not heard before, but did not know even existed. One example is Lance Percival and "Riviera Cay" (who I'm guessing is an Australian artist).

I came across your station a few weeks ago, but this is the first opportunity to contact you to give you some feedback on your station. I currently have 15 Live 365 stations as shortcuts on my desktop (yours is one of the 15).

Unfortunately, I have to cut my e-mail short. Hope to hear back from you soon.

You must have grown up on Long Island, New York. If you’re not from N.Y., then we must at least be close in age and enjoyed similar streets. LOL . I’m a new listener, but so far your mix score is 12-1. Intend to listen more and place you in my favorites. Hoping you have a large library. Thanks, Al.

    Hello there,

It was so nice of you to make contact and ask to become one of our friends. Bothe Geoff and I are mad about 40's - 50's - 60's music.

Our Fabulous 50's Radio Show goes out weekly on Forest FM, www.forestfm.co.uk here in the U.K. and also on KFMJ in Alaska, Deep Oldies in Phoenix and two other U.S. stations and 3 pth in Australia.

It all started about 3 years ago when I was asked by the BBC to do a piece about my time as a 16 year old "Offshore Pirate" d.j. back in 1965 when I was just 16.

Two weeks ago I was back at the BBC with Geoff, when I was asked to present a show on "Pirate BBC Essex" up on the L.V. 18 moored at Harwich. I was so proud to have been asked to do a show and I followed the Great Emperor Rosko. It was Fabulous!

Try and tune in some time. You can stream the show at anytime from www.kfmj.com

    PLEASE keep in touch!

    Best wishes,

    Paul Peters

On behalf of LAI - THANX for the support!

The group would not have made it to their 50th Anniversary without the support of 'friends and fans'.

They were just OFFICIALLY inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and got to be the OPENING segment for the entire show on Fuse TV.

The induction was absolutely something great - but the group is definitely still looking to the future.

They are still celebrating their 50th Anniversary - and are also doing shows in support of their new CD 'You'll Never Know'. As Clarence pointed out in his acceptance speech - they've yet to receive a Grammy! Maybe that could be next :-)

There are also plans for more TV appearances, shows focusing on the groups 'current' sound as well as shows in the UK and Europe.

So thanx again for the support and hope to see you at a show!
