iSOLA was created in San Marcos, Texas in late 2001. The members - Joey Agnew on vocals, Shane Berry on drums, Matt Niemann on guitar, and Reese Williams on bass - finally had the opportunity to explore their artistic
capabilities and develop a band representative of each of their individual influences and identities. Dedication and harmony within a group is often hard to find, yet spending a day with the band is witnessing the unity between four best friends who have grown and experienced life with one another.
2002 marked a year of tremendous growth for the band as they worked on material and by summer recorded and produced their first EP, Don't Walk, Run. Merely a precursor for things to come, Don't Walk, Run served as a learning experience and introduction to what the band is capable of.
After their September 2002 EP release, iSOLA hit the road for a year of constant touring throughout the southeast and East Coast playing with acts such as Blue October, Vertical Horizon and the Baptist Generals. The public has received iSOLA extremely well, evident by their fan base which extends from Texas to New York, giving the band a bigger following to embrace. After a much-needed break, iSOLA reduced their touring schedule during the summer of 2003 in order to focus on their music.
Still busy in their converted garage/studio, iSOLA is creating music above and beyond what they set out to achieve from their recent work. Balancing full time day jobs as well as touring and band promotions, it's the music that has given them the escape to deal with their hectic schedules.
