Israthoum was formed in 1992 in Portugal under the name of Grendel by Arvath and Arluth Dhu. Voxinferi joined soon after.
Around ’94 the bandname changed to Geryous and somewhere between 1997 and 1998 there was a final change of the bandname to Israthoum.
From 1998 onwards the founding bandmembers slowly started moving to the Netherlands where forces were bound with some new members, from which Agramon is the only one remaining.
Kald finally joined the band in 2005.
Throughout the years, the following discography has been built up:
