About me: “Issue actually delivers on the promise that most hipster art and culture books can’t keep: originality. That can mean convincing video artist Pipilotti Rist to create new work for an issue, or persuading the already overexposed photographer Ryan McGinley to bashfully disrobe for the camera. Issue has already transcended the clichés of downtown style books and wonky art publications — the two genres its hybridizes brilliantly”. WWD

ISSUE Magazine's Contribute Space
Editorial Structure:
STALKER - fashion shots voyeur / stalker style of famous person - Involving some kind of shopping or consumer a plus - place to knock off as many credits as possible, and always fun and easy to look at. if very famous then less hip, else vice versa. Photographer must have the access. Will provide style, yet open to suggestions.
PAST PROGRESSIVE, SIMPLE PRESENT, and FUURE PERFECT are always just write ups or short features / interviews on art, film, music ...
DON"T ASK - Something legit and hot in the art world that a common person would look at and be like what the fuck is this art?
TEAM WORK - Two artist collaborating on a project interviewing each other (art, music, film ...)
ART of VIEW - 2 page curatorial project often to end up as the basis for a innovative show.
UNCOVER - Lengthy reportage piece - The story behind, the making of ... in depth kind of piece - musician, art project, film ...
TRIBUTE - Fashion with a twist - for the moment I do it, but open to ideas
Pass The Buck - auto generates itself
INSIDER ART - Artist or overview piece - heavy, long, and hopefully really good each time + mostly original cover.
CONNECTION - Two people meeting that don't know each other and speaking about common interests.
PERSPECTIVE - inspirational talk + Fashion images
TRUTH or DARE - Not in current issue - Two people play truth or dare or even small group - Photographer + famous (same mandate as stalker) - light hearted, funny, provocative ... Truths are transcribed, dares are photographed (4 pages total - 1-2 full page images rest small - cartoon like).
VILLIAN - a bad person or? Can and will include people that are not related to creative or art fields. Ideally less text than current one.
Mandate:
Subjectively interesting content that gets to the core of what is creative and insipring, with an entertaining contempory approach
Your Turn:

As well, in a effort to cultivate a strong sense of colloboration and exchange, I will be deleting comments that are not directly related to feedback on ISSUE or ideas in developing content. Yet for those seeking promotion and visibility, I will feature your submissions in the news section of www.issuemagazine.com, if you email me at news@issuemagazine.com
