ítaco (always with lower case). I was born in the city port of Valparaíso, Chile. Nowadays I live in Barcelona, Spain.
My approach to electronic music began since I was a little child, I..ve always loved the sound of synths and drum machines (Karfwerk, Pet Shop Boys, Depeche Mode, Human League and New Order were my favourites). Years later I would recieve a gift from a girlfriend of mine recently arrived from England, a pirate cassette tape that contained a few sounds and telegraphic rhythms that would change, what until then I considered to be music. My musical taste would be deeply marked by the minimal electronica sounds of that tape. The record was "Musik" from the not well-known artits at that time Plastikman (thank you Susana).
My aesthetic appraisal and tastes has led me to follow the digital path. Fact that have made me almost a fundamentalist on the matter, even strongly rejecting the use of vinyl or any other analog media at the production time or as a Dj. (what logic has play analogous, music that has been made by digital media?)

ítaco (siempre con minúsculas). Nací en la ciudad-puerto de Valparaíso en Chile. Actualmente vivo en Barcelona, España.
Mi aproximación a la música electrónica empezó desde pequeño, siempre me gustaron los sonidos de sintetizadores y cajas de ritmo (Krafwerk, Pet Shop Boys, Depeche Mode, Human League y New Order eran mis favoritos). Años mas tarde recibí el regalo de una amiga recién llegada de un viaje por Inglaterra, una cinta pirata grabada con ritmos telegráficos y unos pocos sonidos que cambiarían lo que hasta entonces yo consideraba como música. Mis gustos musicales se vieron profundamente marcados por los sonidos electrónicos y minimalistas de aquella cinta. El disco era "Musik" del no muy conocido por aquel entonces Plastikman (Gracias Susana).
Mi apreciación estética y gustos personales me han hecho seguir la senda digital. Esto me ha hecho casi un fundamentalista del asunto, incluso rechazando el uso de vinilos o cualquier medio análogo a la hora de producir o como Dj. (¿Que lógica tiene reproducir de forma análoga música que ha sido creada con medios digitales?)
