“ITALIANCAFE’ Smooth Jazz feat. Emy Persiani” è una band-progetto nata nel lontano 2006 dall’incontro tra la cantante Emy Persiani, vero talento musicale in grado di rendere credibili i generi più diversi dal pop al jazz, e il Lestrio, band fondata nel 2004 dal bassista/contrabbassista Steve Mariani ed il batterista Ersilio Sali.
La collaborazione ha visto nel tempo la partecipazione di musicisti diversi, soprattutto pianisti.
Il repertorio spazia dallo swing italiano degli anni trenta, agli standard jazzistici americani con approcci agli “evergreen” del repertorio pop italiano ed internazionale.
Attualmente la band sta rivedendo il proprio stile musicale dedicandolo principalmente alla rielaborazione di grandi successi della canzone italiana (e non solo) in chiave “smooth jazz”.
“ITALIANCAFE’ Smooth Jazz” è formato da: Emy Persiani alla voce, Steve Mariani al contrabbasso, Salvatore Spano al pianoforte, Pierfrancesco Cacace ai sax e Carlo Battisti alla batteria (in questo periodo egregiamente sostituito da Dario Esposito).
“ITALIANCAFE’ Smooth Jazz feat. Emy Persiani” is a musical project born in 2006 from the meeting of the vocalist Emy Persiani and the Jazz band “Lestrio” founded by bass player Steve Mariani and drummer Ersilio Sali in 2004. Emy is a talented musician performing and managing various styles from jazz to soul-pop all with the same intensity and personality. Since the beginning many artists have played with ITALIANCAFE’ . Their music includes: Italian swing of the 30’s, American Jazz Standards, and some “evergreen” Italian and International pop songs.
Lately the band is working at a new project “QUELLO CHE LE DONNE...DICONO” great songs of great Italian and International female singers performed in a Smooth Jazz Style.
