Alysha Brooke was born in Oakville, Ontario,the second youngest in a family of 7 girls. Her family moved to Rural Ontario at the age of 8.. She was very involved in stage performing from a very young age, dancing, acting and modeling from the age of 3. Alysha began singing on stage at the age of 8, and has taken vocal instruction for many years; most currently with Vocal Coach, Sarah Morrison, one of the backstage coaches for Canadian Idol.
At the age of 15, Alysha started to realize that she wanted to do more with her vocal talents, and set about to record the first of her CDs, self financed and produced..Nuthin But A Chevy. Finally released in 2005 , it became a CD that gained her recognition in Europe, USA, and Canada. The final single released from that CD -"This Time" - reached the top chart spot at The Country Edge, a Toronto based monitored radio station. This CD sold out in 2006.
In 2005, she was signed to a recording contract with Cedar Trail Records, and her second CD, I Talk Country, was released by Cedar Trail Records in 2006. I Talk Country also traveled worldwide in its air play, receiving live airtime in Europe and the USA. Alysha severed ties with Cedar Trail Records, siting Artistic Differences, and went back to working with her band independently, performing more than 40 shows in 2006, at various venues,fairs, rodeos, and events in Southern Ontario.
Over the years, she has performed live in LasVegas, Nashville, New York, and Pennsylvania, USA.
Her music has been reviewed in Canadian Musician Magazine, Country Music News, and a variety of newspapers. She has also appeared and performed live on CHTV Smith & Hayes Show. Her first music video, I Don’t Drink, But I’m Gonna Get Drunk Tonight is completed and set to be released in March 2007.
Alysha is currently working on a single to be released in Spring of 2008, titled ’Holly’s Song’, a song written by Alysha Brooke for 1 year old baby, Holly Taylor, who suffers from the rare brain disorder, Schizencephaly. The single, being produced by acclaimed New York Producer, Gary LaBarr, will be released in support of Research for Neurological Birth Defects. Details on the release will be posted as they become available.
Most currently ( March 2008), one of Alysha’s first released singles has been selected out of 46,000 possible songs to be one of 16 songs on a Compliation CD for General Motors in Europe.. 600,000 copies of the CD will be distributed everywhere except Canada and the USA. The deal, brokered by The Gary Agency is the first of Alysha’s songs to be sold.
