Ital Sound was founded in 2000 with the express purpose of Praising the name of the Most High YHWH through the preservation, presentation, and promotion of conscious reggae music.
In the mid 90's a deranged musical madman named Adam West began to amass a stockpile of some of the most dangerous reggae singles and albums of all time. By 1999 his reggae fever had reached over 120 degrees, and one fatefull day he was blasting his reggaematical sounds and enjoying a deep meditation when the spirit of the Lord came to him and said "West! Don't stay here in this smoky room. You must take the music and present it to the nations! Give them that raw born rub-a-dub, my youth!" (or something to that effect.) Hence Ital Sound was born.
Through the years of 2000 through 2004 Adam West and Ital Sound delighted music lovers at parties and clubs up and down the East Coast with a unique mix of classic hits mixed with current scorchers and heavyweight dub instrumentals.
Around this time Adam West was joined by another infamous member of the reggae underworld known to his friends and enemies as King Selecta. Sharing both a similar passion and vision for the music, they decided to combine forces to bring Ital Sound to the next level. The bredren quickly set to work and immediately began linking foundation and conscious artists to build up an Ital dubplate collection big enough to strike fear into the hearts of little drum pan soundboys everywhere.
In 2006, after egging John Ashcrofts Humvee, Ras Heights (AKA Tallman) was also initiated into the Ital Ranks. Bringing both a profound knowledge of turntableism and event promotion to the sound, he has proven to be a strong and valuable member of the Ital Family.
Much like the A-Team, if you can find them, and if you can afford them, you also can hire Ital Sound System. Whether it be mashing up a club or stage show, ending some poor sounds career in a soundclash, or deposing a first-world tyrant, Ital Sound is ready.
