Welcome to 2009, Welcome to the year of darkness, the year of the début album from 'In The Absence Of Light'
After a very successful year in 2008 with the EP release "In Dark Days', 'ITAOL' have had a blistering year playing over 40 shows in more than 20 different towns and cities and two festivals stretching right across the UK, playing with some of the biggest names in the underground metal scene including Malefice (now signed to metal blade records) Trigger the Bloodshed and The Dead Lay waiting (Rising Records) Out Cry Fire (playing metal hammer awards 2008) and many many others!
In The Absence of light now plan to crack the UK and hit it with force, with the release of their Début 2009 album - Fait Accompli. Starting with the album launch in Early April after recording through December and January the band are now embarking on their mission to cover the entire UK throughout the year recruiting more fans to their already growing following.

LAST EVER GIG AT THE ROYAL OAK AS IT IS SHUTTING DOWN!!! Stacked Promotions Battle of the Bands 2009 Heat 2 at the Royal Oak 20th June. Come vote for you favorite band or just come for a good time. The third heat 3rd July and 25th July final will be held at the YMCA Halifax and its bring your own booze.
