About me:
itchysoul dj's are a collective of dj's with the same love and passion for music whether it be House, Disco, Funk, Baleric and Soul.
itchysoul consist of three members, Matt Young, Alex Kenning and Alex Stubbs and was formed in 2003 with Matt Young (previously part of Surgery and Double Jointed parties) and Alex Stubbs teamed up to put on nights in a little toilet called Public Life with an ethos of allowing the dj to play what they wanted resulting in a fantastic party atmosphere. Some of the great dj's who came to spin records records were Richard Sen, Sean P, Subway, Harmless Records, Cross Section Records plus many more...
In 2004 itchysoul dj's added a new member Alex Kenning and itchysoul moved on from public life to dj at various venues and parties around London. itchysoul are graced the decks at nights such as Lasermagnetic, Chibuku, DDD, EBM and festivals Lake of Stars (2007 & 2009), Garden Festival, Isle of Wright, Bloom and V Festival plus putting on their yearly always a sell out boat parties down the Thames.
Itchysoul dj's currently have 2 residencies in London, one at Lockside Lounge in Camden with Paddy Freeform (Universal Vibes) for Sounds Good and the other at Horse and Groom which they have teamed up with Ctrl Alt Delete Records to promote their up and coming label ///Shift which runs monthly with guest such as Red Rack'em, John Morales, Felix Dickinson, Love Fever, Richard Sen, Andy Blake plus other local talent such as Hackney Players Association, Special Needs and Curious People.
With the up and coming launch of their record label 'Shift music' along with forthcoming itchysoul productions, the future looks as shiny as a disco ball for the Itchysoul DJs.
